Healing

1Corinthians 11:23

.”23For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

 Isaiah 53:5

5    But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,  And by His stripes we are healed.6    All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

In Exodus15:26

God would make healing waters out of bad waters, if His people would obey Him.

Psalm 103:3

 Saving and Healing Benefits

Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!2    Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefit3    Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,4    Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,5    Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalms 107:20

He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!22    Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.

Jesus healed extensively and made it part of the Christian mission.

14Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. 15So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served £them.16When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

Mark 1:39,

speaks of the Fathers willingness

39And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.

40Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”41Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

  Luke 10:8

The Disciples are instructed to Heal

go from house to house. 8Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. 9And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 11‘The very dust of your city which clings to £us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’

Luke 17:11

Healing can come progressively  don't rely on feelings.

Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”14So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.17So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

1Corinthians 6:19

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Matthew 9:21

21For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” 22But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour

Matthew 11:4

4Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: 5The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 6And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”
